Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assist and dedication to increasing South African Social Security Company (SASSA) services during an engagement together with the agency's senior managers in a strategic setting up session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled while in the 2024 matric exams.
From the 724 156 full-time learners who registered to the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% with the registered pupils while in the training sector.
These learners achieved a commendable pass rate of 86%.
